Overview

Miniature High-Precision Inclinometer

The tilt sensors of the 755 and 756 series consist of one (uniaxial) or two (biaxial) electrolytic sensing elements integrated into an extremely compact housing made of stainless steel or aluminum.
The precision levels are comparable to the 500 and 700 series, namely:

  • a resolution in the order of 0.1 µrad
  • high accuracy

Two versions are available:

  • Series 755: high sensitivity – for tilt angles up to ±0.5°
  • Series 756: mid-range – for tilt angles up to ±10°

Vacuum Compatible

Several models are available in vacuum-compatible versions, designed to minimize outgassing even under extreme vacuum conditions.

Installation

The housing is drilled for horizontal or vertical mounting.
The output signal is not amplified – external signal conditioning electronics are required.
The sensors can be used at a distance of up to 100 m from their Jewell Instruments signal conditioner.
