Introduction

The B0xY31 is a miniature hardened piezoelectric triaxial accelerometer (IEPE) (IP68, shock resistance 5000 g, operating temperature -40 to 120°C) designed for vibration characterization of components and structures in the automotive, energy and aerospace industries. 5 measurement ranges are available: ± 50g, ± 100g, ± 250g, ± 500g or ± 1000g per axis, bandwidth up to 8 kHz at +/- 5%.

Lightweight housing

The B0xY31 is supplied in a hardened titanium housing, resistant to corrosion and chemicals, and operating over an extended temperature range from -40°C to +120°C. The construction is hermetically welded (IP68) and can withstand shocks of up to 5000 g. The overall weight ranges from 4.8g to 7.6g depending on version (excluding connectors).

The B0xY31 is powered by a 2 to 20 mA DC current (voltage: 20-30 VDC), and is connected via a 4-pin connector. Mounting on the application is by screwing (one M2.5 central thread) or gluing. A mounting plate is included to electrically isolate the accelerometer from its support.
