Introduction

The ZX-HM and ZX-PA wire rope displacement transducers convert wire rope elongation into an electrical signal, either via the Hall effect (ZX-HM) or via a potentiometer (ZX-PA). The lifetime is between 10 and 30 million cycles depending on the model. With a measurement range of 38mm and ultra small dimensions, these sensors are ideal for precision position/displacement measurement where space is limited. The operating temperature (-40°F to 212°F) and long life make them the solution of choice for a variety of long-term applications.

Installation

The measurement can be offset by cable extensions. The sensor body and the cable can be attached to either the fixed or mobile part of the measurement. The housing, which includes two screws, is made of anodised aluminium, the cable (optional) of nylon and steel. The end of the cable can be customised to facilitate integration into the desired application.
