Introduction
The JX cable transducer series is a cost-effective solution for linear position measurement in medium-duty applications. The measuring signal is derived from the cable extension via a potentiometer. 13 measuring ranges are available from 50 mm to 2000 mm. The IP52 thermoplastic housing is resistant to corrosive media. The IP-65 option provides additional protection against splashing water or oil. The sensor also incorporates a cable cleaning device to prevent debris from entering the sensor when it is retracted.
Four types of output signals are available: ratiometric, 4-20 mA, voltage or digital (TTL quadrature). The electrical interface is customizable (cable or connector, position). Some models offer manual adjustment of zero and gain, facilitating integration with the acquisition system and post-processing.

Installation
The cable is directly or indirectly linked to the displacement to be measured, which allows a non-normal or non-linear displacement. The measurement can be offset by cable extensions or pulleys. The cable sensor is not necessarily aligned with the displacement. The sensor body and the cable can be fixed on the fixed or mobile part of the measurement. The mounting is done by means of two screws on the sensor body.
