Introduction
The FX-HM cable sensor is a simple and economical industrial displacement sensor for precise and complex displacement or position measurement. The measurement is done without contact by Hall effect, allowing a very high number of cycles to be achieved. 9 measuring ranges are available from 50 mm to 375 mm. The integration in the application is facilitated by the amplified output signal (0-10 VDC) and a perfectly linear response with the cable stroke. The frequency response is 25 Hz for the 50 mm version. Its excitation varies from 4.9 to 30 Volts and does not require a high current to operate. It can also be powered by a battery.
## Mounting and measuring principle
The cable is directly or indirectly linked to the displacement to be measured, which allows a non-normal or non-linear displacement. The measurement can be offset by cable extensions or pulleys. The cable sensor is not necessarily aligned with the displacement. The body of the sensor and the cable are indifferently fixed on the fixed or mobile part of the measurement.
