Introduction
The S125 is a high-pressure submersible waterproof version with a body diameter of 40 mm. The S125 is suitable for applications in deep immersion conditions. It is designed for extreme vibration and temperature environments. The S125 transducers provide accurate and complex displacement measurements. The bandwidth is 10 kHz. The measurement range is from 5 mm to 810 mm. Electrical integration is facilitated by a number of analog options, e.g. 0.5 to 4.5 VDC, ± 5 VDC or 4-20mA. The sensor can be powered with 5VDC, 24VDC or with a bipolar power supply in ± 5VDC or ± 15VDC. The P114 is available in a marine version.
Mounting and measuring principle
The measurement is made without contact between the fixed part and the moving element, by induction, allowing a very high number of cycles, MTBF > 350 000 hours. The fixed part (body) of the sensor is fixed by means of a ball joint or a fixing flange. The moving part, corresponding to the displacement measurement, can either be connected by a ball joint or by the threaded hole at the end of the rod. The electrical signal is directly proportional to the displacement.
