Introduction
The DRVL series of rotary torque transducers is used for precision torque measurement during rotation. 23 versions are available, allowing torque to be measured over ranges from 0.02Nm to 20,000Nm, at speeds up to 37,000rpm, with an accuracy of 0.1% (0.05% as an option). A speed or angle output can be added as an option, eliminating the need for an additional speed sensor and allowing the actual power to be obtained directly at the shaft. The bandwidth is 0-200 Hz (0-1kHz optional).
The signal transmission between the measuring shaft and the stator is contactless, providing the advantage of optimised service life and minimised measurement noise.
The torquemeter includes amplification electronics, allowing the acquisition of the measurement signal with a simple analogue card (± 10 Vdc). A frequency output (10 KHz ± 5 kHz) is also available, allowing the conditioning stage to be dispensed with. The 12-pin connector includes the power pins (10-28 Vdc) and the various analogue outputs.

Installation
The interfaces of the DRVL consist of two smooth shafts. Mounting is usually done by selecting two couplings and/or woodruff. For low torques, the torque meter can be mounted suspended. For higher torques, it is recommended that it be free-standing. The DRVL is supplied with 10-28.8 VDC.
