New TL6x0D MEMS Gyroscopes: Precision and Robustness for Industrial Applications

The TL6x0D series is a range of 1-, 2-, or 3-axis MEMS gyroscopes designed to measure angular velocity in dynamic applications. Built on ultra-precise silicon technology, these sensors feature an exclusive filtering algorithm that eliminates vibrational interference and a continuous self-test function to ensure reliable data, even in harsh environments. Their 0–5 V analog output and wide-range power supply (9–36 VDC) make them compatible with most industrial or embedded systems.

Key advantages include a bandwidth >2 kHz, a resolution of 0.1°/s, and a lifespan of 11 years (MTBF ≥50,000 h). Bias drift is < 20°/hr. The anodized aluminum housing (IP67) withstands shocks (up to 200 g), vibrations (10 g RMS), and extreme temperatures (−40 to +85 °C). Installation is simplified with a 5-pin waterproof connector and four M4 mounts, all while weighing just 110 g (excluding cable).

These gyroscopes are designed for industries requiring precise, real-time angular velocity measurement: platform stabilization (drones, satellite antennas), navigation systems (automotive, maritime), industrial control (robots, machine tools), and error compensation (electronic compasses, stabilized cameras). Their performance-to-price ratio makes them a cost-effective alternative to fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG) for applications where compactness and reliability are critical.

The range includes single-axis (TL610D), dual-axis (TL620B), and tri-axis (TL630B) variants, with adjustable measurement ranges (±50°/s to ±300°/s). Standard 1 m cables and custom calibration options are available.
