Preventive maintenance using vibration monitoring

The new ACC-3311 accelerometer is a complete and modular solution for the vibration characterisation of a structure (structure, wind turbine, test/production machine, pump/compressor). The continuous monitoring of the evolution of these vibration characteristics allows to reduce significantly the direct and indirect costs of breakdowns, and to optimise the availability of the equipment thanks to the immediate detection of drifts.

The instantaneous vibration values are recorded by the ACC 3311 continuously, at high frequency (4000 values / second), then filtered, averaged and finally analysed in frequency. The characteristics thus obtained (e.g. average, peak/minute values, eigenmodes, spectrum, noise, etc.) are compared with the theoretical values, generating alarms in the event of deviations. All low and high level information is continuously transmitted to the PLC / supervisor / remote server via a fieldbus (CAN, EtherCAT) or wireless (Bluetooth, LTE).

The ACC 3311 is supplied in a compact 60g aluminium housing, IP67, with a shock limit of 5000g and an operating temperature of -40 to +125°C. The measurement ranges of the on-board accelerometer (from +/- 2 to +/- 40g), as well as the choice of analysis algorithms and detection parameters are specifiable.
