Presentation
The DA26 extensometer is a robust, accurate and simple solution for high-resolution force and strain measurement on structures, presses, tanks, bridges, frames, etc... The sensor consists of a strain gage, fully wired and then pressurized onto a test body via the housing.
The extensometer is impervious to oil and moisture, sealed by a gasket on the contact surface and by the introduction of a resin after installation. For prolonged outdoor use, a silicone seal can be applied.
The measuring range is 1000µm/m. Technically comparable to the direct application of strain gages to the structure, this extensometer offers a gain in ease of use and flexibility, while providing a measurement characterized by high resolution, very low drift effects and excellent response time.
Installation and use
The enclosure is positioned using 2 M6 screws, and the gauge is glued to the test body by gluing the housing. The surface must be cleaned before applying the extensometer.
The strain gage is mounted as a 1/4 bridge. The full-scale output signal is 1.3 mV/V. Conditioning is performed via external electronics. Strain to force conversion is performed by calibration on the application. The operating temperature range is -20 to +85°C. The recommended supply voltage is 5 VDC.
