Overview
The CLP force sensor measures tensile and compressive forces dynamically with high precision (0.2% of full scale) and minimal footprint (only 25.4 mm in height). Available in 5 capacity versions ranging from 200 N to 5 kN, the CLP features a hermetic and robust design (stainless steel, IP68, 150% overload protection) and an operating temperature range of -10 to 85°C.
The CLP offers two key advantages:
- Transverse force compensation: An internal multi-beam design compensates for transverse forces, ensuring reliable measurement of non-axial loads.
- IP68 hermetic design for outdoor use, test tanks, etc.

Installation
Force is applied via an M8 or M12 thread. Six smooth 6.6 mm diameter holes allow sensor mounting to the test bench or frame.

Signal Conditioning and Acquisition
Internal Signal Conditioning
The CLP force sensor can be supplied with integrated conditioning. This option allows users to electronically adjust gain and offset (span and zero), ensuring maximum flexibility for their application. Available outputs: CAN, RS-485, 4-20 mA, ±10 V.
- Advantages: Simplified mechanical and electrical integration. Fieldbus facilitates installation and operation without a DAQ system.
- Disadvantages: Limited bandwidth, and while the miniature electronics are good, they may be less precise than high-end external electronics, particularly at very low loads.
External Signal Conditioning
The CLP force sensor is powered by 2.5 to 10 VDC. A complete, configured measurement chain can be obtained by adding a display, conditioner, or acquisition module:
