Introduction
The KD80s S-beam strain gauge load cell is used for tension/compression force measurement, as well as for weighing. 11 measuring ranges from 100N to 200kN are available, the accuracy is excellent (0.05% of the measuring range), the sensitivity of the measurement to temperature is limited. The output signal at nominal load is 2 mV/V
The stainless steel housing is sealed to IP65, the operating temperature is -10 to 85°C. The sensor is supplied with a 4-wire Unitronic FD CP Plus 4x0.14 cable, 5m long, without connector.
A high temperature version ( KD80s HT) is also available for use up to 150°C. In this version, the 5m long 6-wire cable is approved for high temperature operation: ALMI HAFL-C MOD. SO 2x2x0.25.
Installation
The mounting of the KD80s sensor, and therefore the introduction of forces, is done by means of two metric threads in the centre of the upper and lower surfaces of the sensor, with dimensions increasing with the load (M8 to M42).
Signal conditionning
The KD80s load cell is powered with a DC voltage of 2.5 to 10VDC. . Displays, Amplifiers and Data acquisition modules are offered wherever needed.
