Overview

The 701-2 series of inclinometers are tilt measurement platforms for geophysical applications, combining high accuracy and stability. The 701-2 system is built on two high-precision electrolytic sensing elements mounted perpendicularly, enabling detection of minute movements on the X and Y axes. Resolution ranges from 0.1 to 2 µrad, depending on the measurement range.

5 measurement ranges are available: ±0.046°, ±0.5°, ±0.8°, ±4° and ±8°. The analog versions (A701-2A and A701-2B) includes 2 switches for selecting the gain and filter constant from 2 values, allowing measurement over the ranges ±0.46°, ±8°. Sensitivity is inversely proportional, for analog (±8 VDC (unipolar) or ±16 VDC (differential)) or digital (RS-232/485 for the D701-2) output signals. The A701-2-4X model is waterproof to IP65, for use in dusty and/or damp environments.

Installation

The platform is placed on the reference surface. Leveling and calibration are performed using feet fitted with invar adjustment screws. 3m cable included. Permissible supply voltage for analog model is 11-15VDC (A701-2) or 7-28VDC (D701).
