High-precision tiltmeter for geotechnical applications

A711 and A716 tiltmeters are tilt measurement platforms for geotechnical applications. Each of them incorporates two high-precision electrolytic sensing elements mounted perpendicular to each other, enabling the detection of minute movements on the X and Y axes. Resolution ranges from 0.1 to 10 µrad, depending on the measurement range. 6 measurement ranges are available:±0.046°, ±0.46°, ±0.8°, ±8°, ±4°, ±70°.

Analog or digital output

The output signal of 711 and 716 tiltmeters is either analog (±8 VDC (unipolar), ±16 VDC (differential)) or digital (RS-232/485). On analog models, 2 switches allow selection of gain and filter constant from 2 pre-defined values. On digital models, configuration of filter, zero gain, serial communication and sampling frequency is done via firmware. Data is recorded on the fly (serial link) or on internal memory (540 Kb capacity, i.e. 22,000 values).

IP65 design

With IP65 grade, the A711(4X) tilt measurement platform is designed for geotechnical applications with steam or corrosive environments. Technical specifications otherwise remain identical to models A711 and A716.

Installation

Platform 711 is floor-mounted, platform 716 wall-mounted. Fastening and leveling are done with screws. 3m cable included. Supply voltage is between 11 and 15 VDC for analog models, and 7 to 29 VDC for digital versions.
