Introduction
The CP5x2, CP5x5 and CP5x6 sensors are designed for the direct measurement of pressure pulsations in a gas turbine combustor. The crystal used (Gallium phosphate (GaPO4)) is developed in-house, and is characterized by an excellent stability at high temperature and a piezoelectric effect perfectly linear with the pressure, allowing the achievement of a non-linearity of 0.5% from 0 to 700°C. Another advantage of the piezo technology is a bandwidth of 10kHz and an excellent repeatability.
For each of these sensors, a complete solution including signal conditioning, cables (rigid/flexible), mounting inserts and connectors is offered. The mounting interfaces are customizable.
Applications
Application of high temperatures, heat fluxes and extremely high gradients during rapid rise and fall cycles requires a robust sensor that is unaffected by thermal impacts, high acceleration levels and does not exhibit degradation over its lifetime.
