Presentation
The S508 submersible angular position sensor is a high-resolution angular sensor for industrial, marine and offshore applications. Each sensor can be supplied calibrated to a freely selectable, necessarily symmetrical measuring range from ±8° to ±80°, with full EMC protection. Based on non-contact inductive technology, it can be used under permanent immersion up to 100 meters.
Accuracy, repeatability and stability of measurement, particularly in terms of temperature, are of a very high level over the entire operating temperature range (-40 to 125°C).
Installation
The sensor body is made of 316L stainless steel. The RIPS S608 is mounted by means of a flat shaft, diam. 6 + flange with 2 x 4.3mm openings at 30°. Electrical connection is via a submersible cable. 2 potentiometers enable fine adjustment of zero and gain.
