Introduction

The inductive sensor P100 has a measuring range of 10 mm to 800 mm. This sensor is used for displacement or position measurement of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. The inductive displacement sensors are easy and economical to use for precise and complex displacement or position measurement. The measuring range varies from 5 mm to 800 mm in 10 mm steps. The integration into the application is facilitated by numerous options for the analog output e.g. 0.5 to 4.5 VDC, ± 5VDC or 4-20mA. The sensor can be supplied with 5VDC, 24VDC or with a bipolar supply in ± 5VDC or ± 15VDC. The P100 has a very good linearity and an infinite resolution. The bandwidth is 10 kHz.

Mounting and measuring principle

The measurement is made without contact between the fixed part and the moving part, by induction, allowing a very high number of cycles MTBF > 350 000 hours. The sensor is directly screwed on the head of the cylinder and ensures the sealing of the cylinder by an adapted seal. The measurement signal and the power supply of the sensor are carried by a cable, directly at the output of the sensor, or by a connector supplied with the sensors.
