Overview

The K3A100 3-axis force sensor simultaneously measures Fx, Fy, and Fz forces along three perpendicular axes. Four measurement ranges are available: ±2/±2/±10 kN, ±5/±5/±10 kN, ±10/±10/±30 kN, and ±20/±20/±60 kN. The overall accuracy is 0.2%, and transverse force sensitivity (crosstalk) is between 1 and 2%. The sensor body is made of IP65-rated steel. Overload capacity is 150% (i.e., a maximum allowable overload of 50% of the rated range). The torque limit is 1500 Nm, and the maximum bending moment is 500 Nm (4000 Nm and 1500 Nm for the highest-capacity version).

The K3A100 sensor can be easily integrated into machine tools, robotic arms, or test benches. Force introduction and stator/bench mounting are achieved via 8 M10x1.5 threaded holes, with specified tightening torques (see here). A clearance of 1 mm must be maintained between the adapter parts and the sensor body.

The sensor operates at 5 VDC supply. Operating temperature range is -10 to 85°C. The output signal is unamplified (0.8 to 1.5 mV/V depending on the axis). The 3 output signals are decoupled by sensor design and directly represent the actual forces — no additional decoupling is required. The sensor is supplied with a connector output, with a 5 m cable available as an option.

Each sensor is supplied with a factory calibration certificate. Calibration for specific ranges is available as an option, as well as ISO-17025 calibration.
