Presentation

The S-beam force transducer KD18S measures low compressive or tensile forces ranging from a few mN to 10N in an ultra-miniature size (18 x 18 x 10mm only). Available in 3 measuring ranges between 100 mN (10 grams) and 10N (1 kg), the measurement accuracy is 0.1% of full scale for a sensitivity of 0.5 mV / V. The overload protection is 2 times the measuring range.

The force is applied via 2 M2.5 threads on either side of the sensor, and moves the two flanges parallel. The KD18s sensor is supplied with a 3m cable, and the operating temperature range is -10 to + 85 ° C. The output of the sensor cable, 3m long, can be horizontal or vertical. Ball joints are available as an option.

Packaging and acquisition

The S KD18S sensor is supplied with 1 to 10 Vdc. Complete and configured measurement chain in option by adding a display, amplifier. or acquisition module. See our selection:

  • Display: used to view the measurement directly in units, to manage thresholds, max values -min and an amplified output.
  • Amplifiers: used to convert the measurement signal into voltage or current (± 5, ± 10 Vdc, 0-10 Vdc or 4-20 mA).
  • Acquisition systems: Transmission of measurement signals to a PC, a programmable logic controller, a recorder or a SCADA type supervision application.
