600 and 700 Series : High-precision geotechnical tiltmeters

600 and 700 Series : High-precision geotechnical tiltmeters

600 and 700 Series platform tiltmeters are outstanding solutions for high-precision tilt measurement in a wide range of applications. The rugged design, extended temperature range (-20 to 70°C) and exceptional resolution of up to 2.5 nrad make the 600 and 700 series tiltmeters suitable for a variety of scientific and geotechnical applications, including outdoor, including

  • volcano monitoring
  • bridge and structure monitoring
  • radar platform upgrades
  • telescope orientation
  • geotechnical engineering

Robust, shock- and vibration-resistant construction for a service life > 20 years. Excellent measurement stability is ideal for long-term monitoring applications.

Installation and operation

Some models feature built-in Invar levelling feet - or even built-in micrometers - for easy installation and precise levelling on any horizontal surface. Biaxial inclinometers contain two orthogonally arranged inclination sensors. The vector sum of the outputs from the two channels gives the direction and amplitude of rotation relative to the vertical gravity vector.

The 700 Series platform and surface inclinometers also include a temperature sensor installed in the base plate alongside the inclination sensors. This temperature sensor makes it possible to record and evaluate the effects of temperature changes on the measured behavior of the structure and soil.

Numerous options for data acquisition (analog, digital, with integrated recorder or automated server upload) are available
