Presentation
The LW load cell is a load washer available in a wide range of capacities and dimensions. This type of transducer is used to measure clamping forces on bolted assemblies. Accuracy ranges from 0.5 to 1% of full scale, depending on version.
Available in 15 load levels from 22 N to 450 kN, the LW features robust construction (stainless steel, IP 65, 150% overload protection) with an operating temperature range from -55 to 120°C.
Standard connection: 1 x 1.5m cable. A connector can be installed as an option.

Packaging and acquisition
The LW load cell is supplied with 5VDC. The output signal is unamplified. A complete, configured measurement chain can be obtained by adding a display, conditioner or acquisition module. See our selection:
- Display: displays the measurement directly in units, manages thresholds, max-min values and an amplified output.
- Signal conditionning: Amplifies the measurement signal and delivers a voltage or current (±5, ±10 Vdc, 0-10 Vdc or 4-20 mA).
- Acquisition systems : Transmission of measurement signals to a PC, PLC, recorder or SCADA-type supervision application. Post-processing of measurement data via Excel or Matlab.
