The PTO2 is an instrument for measuring the instantaneous torque and speed at the output of the PTO. It is mounted directly on the PTO via the supplied splines, without any mechanical modification. Torque is measured by strain gauges. The speed of rotation is measured by a Hall sensor on the rotating shaft.
The measurement signal is transmitted from the rotating shaft via a B4-2W/E60 precision slip ring, which incorporates a 60-pulse-per-revolution Hall-effect angle encoder for speed measurement.
