Strain and Stress Monitoring

Our strain and stress monitoring solutions enable continuous tracking of the mechanical behavior of a structure under load. Extensometers or strain gauges are installed directly on the structure and then connected to a dedicated data acquisition system for the strain gauge bridges and to an IoT system for transmission to PMI-CloudVIEW.

Depending on the application, measurements can be taken under tension or compression, at one or more points, with temperature monitoring and various data acquisition frequencies. The solutions can operate autonomously or with a permanent power supply for monitoring beams, trusses, bridges, columns, tanks, silos, buildings, and industrial equipment. When the mechanical properties of the structure are known, the strain measurements can also be used to monitor mechanical stresses.
