Description
The seismic accelerometers of the EQ series meet the requirements for class B earthquake detection. Available in single-, dual- and triaxial versions, they combine a resolution (700 ng) and an ultra-low noise level (spectral noise density: from 0.8 to 1.2 µg/√Hz), an extended bandwidth for this amplitude level (0-550 Hz to 0-700 Hz), and thus meet the requirements of class B of seismic measurements. The integrated electronic circuit provides a differential analog voltage output (± 2.7 V FSO) for a supply voltage of 5 to 40 VDC.
Installation and use
The output signal of the EQ series seismic accelerometers (±2.7VDC) is independent of the supply voltage (5 to 40 VDC). The housing is hardened, hermetic IP67 (aluminium version) or IP68 (steel version), with an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C. Mounting is done by screwing onto the support to be monitored. The cable is detachable, for greater flexibility and modularity.
The accelerometer also has a diagnostic function to check proper operation after installation.
