Presentation of the IMU100-BL inertial unit
The IMU100-BL is a cost-effective AHRS inertial unit that can be widely used in equipment requiring high dynamic balance. Thanks to the use of triaxial accelerometers and triaxial magnetometers complementing the triaxial gyroscopes, as well as the temperature compensation algorithm technology, the product offers excellent stability and real-time performance in all attitudes. The device integrates a Kalman filter, so it can provide attitude data (roll, pitch, yaw) as well as the raw sensor outputs. Data output is performed via USB 2.0 and Bluetooth, thanks to a Bluetooth 5.1 wireless transmission module using the BLE protocol. The 2.4 GHz radiofrequency communication technology allows line-of-sight transmission up to 40 meters (in an unobstructed environment). The triaxial accelerometer has a measurement range of +/-8g and the inclinometer +/- 500 °/s

Operating principle

Indicator lights

ON/OFF button: press this button to turn the device on and press it again to turn it off; 1. Indicator status: Red indicator flashing quickly: the red LED flashes quickly when the device is turned on, indicating that it is connected to the Bluetooth host device. Red indicator stays on: the red LED stays on once the connection to the host device is established. Red indicator flashing slowly: the red indicator flashes slowly when the battery is low, and the device shuts down automatically after 30 seconds. Green indicator stays on: the green indicator stays on during charging. 2. Type-C charging port: it is recommended to use a 5 V charger. The charging time is approximately 4 hours, and the theoretical battery life is 8 hours.

① Chinese-English selection button: select the desired language and restart for the change to take effect. ② Serial port settings: select the corresponding port; the default baud rate is 115 200 and there is no parity bit. ③ Bluetooth settings: click on "Refresh Bluetooth devices", select the Bluetooth device to connect, then click on the "Open Bluetooth" button. The bottom right corner displays the Bluetooth connection status and the battery level of the Bluetooth device. ④ Recording option: click on "Browse" to set the data recording path, then click on "Start" to record data. ⑤ 3D model: the aircraft model is synchronized with the connected product, and its attitude can be viewed in real time. ⑥ Display of required oscillograms and data: allows displaying the required oscillograms and data. ⑦ Waveform display: real-time waveforms of the output data.

For this IMU, the user can generally develop their own program to monitor the data. However, to perform quick tests, this mini software program can be provided.
