The 6-component dynamometric wheel LW50 simultaneously measures the three forces and three moments applied to the wheel, with a radial capacity of 50 kN and a maximum torque of 6.5 kN·m. Its monobloc design simplifies installation and limits crosstalk (≤ 0.4% after correction), all within a 30 mm thickness.
Designed to fit any 12-inch rim or larger, the LW50 can be used on test tracks, open roads, off-road, or on test benches. Data transmission is carried out via a slip ring or embedded telemetry. An onboard CT3 electronics unit ensures real-time post-processing of raw measurements to transmit ready-to-analyze data to the acquisition system or test bench controller in analog, CAN, or CANFD format. The operational temperature range extends from -40°C to 177°C, with an accuracy of 0.1 to 0.25% per channel and an angular resolution of 0.17°.
Applications include tire testing to validate ground contact models or vehicle development to correlate dynamic loads with CAD simulations, as the LW50 eliminates trade-offs between precision and integration.
