M560: 8-channel wireless telemetry for strain gauges and thermocouples

The Michigan Scientific M560 System is a digital telemetry system designed to transmit data from 1 to 8 channels of full-bridge strain gauges or thermocouples. It enables simultaneous 16-bit sampling with lossless digital transmission, making it ideal for demanding environments where cabling is not feasible. The rugged, sealed enclosure resists vibration, extreme temperatures, and contaminants, ensuring reliable data acquisition in harsh conditions.

The 16-bit resolution and high common-mode rejection differential amplifiers ensure optimal precision, while anti-aliasing filters prevent artifacts before digitization. Each strain gauge channel features its own gain and shunt resistance adjustment, providing flexible configuration to meet metrological requirements. Power can be supplied via battery or induction, expanding integration possibilities in constrained environments.

This system is particularly well-suited for measurements on rotating equipment, high-speed dynamic testing, or applications where wired access is impossible. It is also useful for structural testing, industrial machine monitoring, and trials in harsh environments such as aerospace, automotive, or energy sectors.

The receiver offers ±10 V analog outputs compatible with most data acquisition systems, along with LED indicators and status signals to monitor transmission quality, power supply, and shunt status. Multiple filtering options and adjustable cutoff frequencies are also available.
