Measurement of the rotor-stator air gap of large electric motors

The GMS is a simple to use tool for monitoring the gap between the stator and rotor of electric motors, also known as the rotor gap. It is used in the maintenance phases of very large motors and generators: hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plants.

The GMS is based on eddy current technology. This system is easy to use and gives a direct reading of the measured values in mm.

It is equipped with 2 bending blades and 2 eddy current sensors which measure the deflection of the blades. The GSM is factory calibrated before delivery and is supplied with a calibration certificate.
