Overview
The DF dual torque meter is a precise and compact solution for rotational torque measurement up to 10000Nm with an accuracy better than ±0.04% of full scale. Highly compact, the annular stator is removable to facilitate installation on the shaft line.
The maximum rotational speed is 21000 rpm as standard, with 25 krpm available as an option. The design is particularly robust, with high permissible radial, axial, and bending loads, and a permissible torsional overload of 300%.
DF dual specificity: a second measurement range to optimize accuracy for lower torques (ratio 1:2 to 1:5 of the nominal range). This allows:
- Testing a variety of systems (and thus torques) without disassembly
- Testing a wide range of operating points on a motor or transmission within the same test campaign.
Architecture

The system stands out for its modularity: the DF1 to DF5 dual versions cover ranges from 500 Nm to 10 kNm. Output interfaces include frequency (RS422), analog (±10 V), CAN 2.0B (2 kHz), and Ethernet signals, compatible with most industrial data acquisition systems. Configuration is performed via a modern web interface (TCU Discover software provided), enabling quick setup of alarm thresholds, digital filters, and communication protocols. A dbc file is provided for CANbus users.

Installation
Designed for easy integration, the DF dual features standardized DIN dimensions (flange diameters from 84 mm to 196 mm), ensuring mechanical compatibility with existing test benches. Its compact housing and resistance to vibrations/accelerations make it a preferred choice for testing electric motors, transmissions, or pumps.

Measurement signal interfaces
The TCU module acts as the interface between the torque meter and the PLC / data acquisition system / PC. The TCU allows configuration of the torque meter (output signal types, alarms, CAN communication, etc.) and collects measurement signals.
