Overview
The PMI IoT biaxial inclination sensor is a ready-to-use, autonomous, wireless monitoring solution dedicated to precise and continuous tracking of inclination variations and angular movements of structures and sensitive buildings.
The biaxial sensor and communication electronics are integrated within a single ruggedized IoT enclosure, forming a compact, inseparable kit, optimized to ensure data reliability, ease of installation and immediate exploitation of measurements in the field.
Fully autonomous, the system performs automatic data acquisition and transmission via dual NB-IoT and 4G cellular connectivity, enabling communication continuity even in areas with variable coverage. Data is transmitted using the MQTT protocol, ensuring reliable, secure and energy-efficient communication to the PM Instrumentation Cloud platform or a third-party platform, with no local infrastructure. The measurement frequency is remotely configurable, allowing monitoring to be adapted to project needs and phases.
Each measurement is also recorded locally on a microSD card (32 GB), guaranteeing full redundancy and data continuity in case of temporary network loss.
Designed for long-term monitoring campaigns, the sensor runs on an internal battery, with battery life extension options, solar power supply and local backup storage. Commissioning, control and monitoring of the system status (measurements, energy, connectivity) are simplified to the maximum, enabling fast, reliable and durable deployment, both during the diagnostic phase and for long-term structural monitoring.
