Description

The OS x115LN and OS x125MF series capacitive accelerometers have been specially developed for applications in harsh conditions, such as rail, wind turbines or marine. With their measuring ranges, wide bandwidth, low noise and rugged (shock limit: 5000 g) and IP68 waterproof design, these accelerometers can be used for vibration characterization, onboard diagnostics and structural monitoring.

Installation and use

Output signal and installation

The amplified output signal of the OS-x115LN (±4VDC) and OS-x125MF (±2.7VDC) capacitive accelerometers is differential and independent of the supply voltage (6 to 40 VDC). With a rugged IP68 stainless steel housing weighing 31 to 68 depending on the version, an operating temperature range of -55 to +125°C, and shock resistance up to 5000g, these accelerometers are suitable for the harshest industrial environments. Mounting is done by screwing.

Wiring

The standard cable (30 gram/meter; PUR; AWG 30; Diameter: 4.4mm) is available from 4 to 12 wires. The standard length (6m) can be adjusted as needed (limit of about 30m). A LEMO, Jaeger, BNC, SUBD or other type connector can also be added as an option. Also optional, for the 2 and 3-axis versions, a trident wire arrangement to simplify connection to the acquisition system.
