Overview
The SHAKE SD300 and QD332 are digital triaxial accelerometers designed for dynamic monitoring of structures and infrastructure.
The SD300 uses a MEMS sensor and provides a versatile solution for vibration monitoring and Structural Health Monitoring.
The QD332 uses Quartz MEMS technology, particularly suitable when low vibration levels, better dynamic range and reduced self-noise are required.
Both models communicate directly via Ethernet PoE, allowing power supply and data transmission to be handled simultaneously with a single network cable.

Available models
| Model | Technology | Axes | Range | Dynamic range | Self-noise |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SD300 | MEMS | 3 axes | ±2 / ±4 g | 100 dB | 22.5 µg/√Hz |
| QD332 | Quartz MEMS | 3 axes | ±2 / ±4 g | 132 dB | 0.5 µg/√Hz |
Acquisition
Both models can be configured with different sampling frequencies:
- 100 samples/s
- 200 samples/s
- 500 samples/s
- 1,000 samples/s
The digital resolution is 24 bits on all three axes.
Applications
These accelerometers are particularly suitable for:
- structural monitoring of buildings
- monitoring of bridges and civil engineering structures
- monitoring of cable-stayed bridges
- structural vibration analysis
- diagnosis after a dynamic or seismic event
- tracking of structural aging and stiffness
- permanent multi-point monitoring
Which model to choose?
SD300
The SD300 is suitable for common structural and vibration monitoring applications requiring reliable digital triaxial measurement and simple network integration.
QD332
The QD332 is recommended for applications requiring better dynamic range and very low self-noise, particularly for micro-vibrations, sensitive structures and low-amplitude measurements.
FAQ
-
What is the difference between the SD300 and the QD332?
The SD300 uses a MEMS sensor, while the QD332 uses Quartz MEMS technology offering higher dynamic range and lower self-noise. -
Do both models measure on 3 axes?
Yes. The SD300 and QD332 perform simultaneous measurement on the X, Y and Z axes. -
What sampling frequency can be used?
Both models can operate at 100, 200, 500 or 1,000 samples/s. -
How are they powered and connected?
They use an Ethernet PoE connection, which allows data transmission and sensor power supply with a single cable.
Define your configuration
The choice between the SD300 and the QD332 mainly depends on the vibration level to be measured, the required self-noise, the necessary dynamic range and the acquisition architecture.
