Overview

The vALERT G320 is a triaxial geophone designed for vibration measurement on construction sites, buildings, tunnels and civil engineering structures.

It measures vibration velocity along the X, Y and Z axes using integrated or external geophones. The 24-bit acquisition and 130 dB dynamic range make it possible to monitor both low vibrations and larger events.

The G320 integrates data acquisition, storage and local processing. It can notably process measurements according to DIN 4150-3, then transmit the results via Ethernet or, depending on the version, via 4G.

It thus provides a complete solution for temporary or permanent monitoring of vibrations generated by works, traffic or the operation of an infrastructure.

Applications

The vALERT G320 is particularly suited to:

  • construction site vibration monitoring
  • earthworks, drilling and demolition vibrations
  • buildings adjacent to works
  • tunnels and underground works
  • bridges and civil engineering structures
  • sensitive structures and monuments
  • micro-vibration measurement
  • Structural Health Monitoring – SHM

Communication and operation

The G320 features an Ethernet 10/100 Base-TX interface and can communicate with a third-party system via Modbus RTU or TCP/IP.

A 4G version is also available for installations requiring remote transmission without a local network infrastructure.

Measurements can be processed with Sanlien tools or integrated into an existing supervision architecture.

FAQ

  • Is the vALERT G320 a geophone?
Yes. It integrates a triaxial geophone to measure vibrations along the X, Y and Z axes. External geophones can also be used.

  • Is the G320 suitable for construction site vibration monitoring?
Yes. It is notably designed for vibrations generated by works, demolition, tunnels and activities near sensitive buildings.

  • What frequency band can it measure?
The G320 covers a band of 1 to 500 Hz with a configurable sampling frequency of up to 1,000 SPS.

  • Can data be transmitted remotely?
Yes. The system has Ethernet and a 4G version is available for remote transmission.
