Overview

The GSV-5A3 is a 3-channel measurement amplifier designed to condition signals from strain gauge sensors, such as force, torque, acceleration sensors, or extensometers. Each channel is independently configurable, allowing connection of 1D, 2D, or 3D sensors, including Fz Mz force-torque sensors. The amplified signals are available as ±10 V or 4-20mA analog outputs, suitable for acquisition on PLCs, data acquisition systems, or industrial indicators.

Key Specifications

The amplifier accepts full-bridge sensors from 120 Ω to 5000 Ω, connected using 4-wire technology. Sensitivity is adjustable across 4 predefined levels: 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, or 4.0 mV/V via front-panel buttons. The tare function (zero setting) allows storing the reference state in EEPROM, retained even after power loss. An autotest (shunt calibration) is also available to verify system integrity.

Installation and Use

Power supply (10 V DC to 28 V DC) can be connected via a 4-pin M8 connector or the rear SubD15 connector. Sensors are connected via three M12 circular connectors, while analog outputs and digital inputs (tare and autotest) are accessible on the SubD15 connector. Channel status is indicated by 14 LEDs, and setting lockout prevents accidental modifications.

The GSV-5A3 is supplied with an 18 V power supply and cables compatible with SubD connectors. Its aluminium housing (124 x 72 x 32 mm) makes it compact and suitable for demanding industrial environments.
