High-precision tactical-grade 6-component inertial measurement unit
ASC’s new IMU 8.X.Y inertial measurement unit is the ideal solution for high-precision positioning measurement. It integrates multiple high-precision inertial sensors, including a triaxial capacitive accelerometer and a triaxial gyroscope based on MEMS technology.
The excellent bias stability (0.12°/hr) and low measurement noise of the sensing elements (7 µg/√Hz over a ± 2g measurement range, angular random walk of 0.017 °/√Hz) enable the IMU8 to detect movements in all 6 directions with unique precision and measurement repeatability, across acceleration ranges from ± 2g to ± 30g and rotation ranges from 100 to 200°/s.
Installation
The IMU8 requires a supply voltage of 8 to 30 VDC. Its IP65-rated housing is made of anodized aluminum for reduced size (59 x 59 x 49 mm) and weight (260 g). Connectivity includes a 15-pin Comtronic connector and a detachable 2.5 m cable.
