Overview
The OM 503LVDT is a signal conditioner display specifically designed for linear displacement sensors of the LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) type. Based on a 32-bit processor and a 24-bit ΔΣ analog-to-digital converter, it ensures high measurement accuracy and an immediate response to signal variations. Its modular architecture allows flexible adaptation to industrial application requirements, with advanced functions such as linearization, digital filtering, and data logging.
Specifications
The OM 503LVDT features a dual LED display (primary and secondary) along with a 17-LED bargraph, providing clear and intuitive visualization of measured values. The input signal is compatible with LVDT sensors operating in alternating voltage (1/3/5 VAC) at frequencies of 2.5/5/10 kHz, with 3 to 6-wire wiring. The display range extends from -99999 to 999999, with an accuracy of ±0.1 % of range + 1 digit. The sampling rate is adjustable between 1 and 100 measurements per second.
Installation
The OM 503LVDT is mounted on a standard DIN rail, with dimensions of 96 x 48 mm. Its power supply is flexible, accepting a voltage of 10…30 V AC/DC or 80…250 V AC/DC. Capacitive touch keys with haptic feedback and RGB backlighting facilitate configuration, even in demanding industrial environments.

Data Acquisition - PLC Interface
The device offers several options for data utilization: isolated analog outputs (0…10 V, 0…20 mA, etc.), programmable relays (up to 6 outputs), and communication interfaces (Modbus RTU/TCP, Profinet, ASCII). Processing functions include tare, offset, signal simulation, and recording of measured values (up to 100,000 points). A Teach-in mode enables semi-automatic sensor calibration.
