High-precision sealed S-type force sensor

The SSMF S-type force sensors are high-precision, compact sensors specifically designed for fatigue testing. Accuracy is < 0.1% (non-linearity: 0.05%, non-repeatability: 0.02%, zero sensitivity < ±0.0015%/°C), and the SSMF is rated for > 10^7 cycles at full load.

Installation

Force is applied via two M6 or M12 threaded holes on either side of the sensor. The SSMF is supplied with a 3 m cable (alternative: with a connector), and the operating temperature range is -55 to +90°C. The sensor body, made of aluminium or stainless steel depending on the measurement range, is IP65 sealed.

Conditioning and acquisition

The SSMF S-type sensor is powered by 5 to 15 Vdc. A complete and configured measurement chain can be obtained by adding a display, conditioner, or acquisition module. See our selection:

  • Display: allows direct measurement visualisation in engineering units, threshold management, max-min values, and amplified output.
  • Conditioner: enables conversion of the measurement signal to voltage or current (±5, ±10 Vdc, 0-10 Vdc, or 4-20 mA).
  • Acquisition systems: transmits measurement signals to a PC, programmable logic controller, recorder, or SCADA-type supervision application.
