Overview
High-performance compression force sensor
The force sensors of the 1201 series are designed for compression measurement in applications requiring precision and robustness. Measurement ranges span from 0-5 kN to 0-1800 kN, with accuracy in the order of 0.05%.
Design
The design of the 1201 series sensors is the result of 50 years of continuous improvement. The selection of strain gauges, construction, manufacturing expertise, and calibration enable an accuracy of ± 0.04% of full scale, high repeatability (< 0.01%), and long-term stability (static accuracy: 0.04%). The construction is also nearly insensitive to eccentric loads (< 0.1% / cm) and transverse forces (< 0.25%), and highly robust, with 150% overload protection.

The operating temperature ranges from -55 to 90°C. Calibration is temperature-compensated between -10 and 45°C.

Signal Conditioning and Acquisition
The output signal of the 1201 series sensors is unamplified. It is possible to obtain a complete measurement chain, wired and configured specifically for the application, by integrating a Display, an Analog Conditioner/Amplifier with voltage or current output, or a Data Acquisition System for PC or PLC with included acquisition software.
