Overview

The LWHP18 force sensor is a load washer. It is used for measuring pre-tension force in high-load clamping applications. The accuracy is in the order of 0.5% of full scale. It is available for loads between 10 kN and 5000 kN. It is characterized by robust construction (stainless steel, IP 65, 150% overload protection) with an operating temperature range between -10 and 70°C.

Use

The load washer, LWHP18, is installed under the screw head to measure the stress related to clamping. For lower deflection, the LWHP18 is made of stainless steel. An overload capacity of 150% of the measuring range guarantees proper sensor operation during assembly and deflection phases of the assemblies.

Signal conditioning and acquisition

The LWHP18 load washer is powered by 2 and 12 VDC. It is possible to obtain a complete and configured measuring chain by adding a display, signal conditioner or acquisition module. See our selection:

Display: allows you to view the measurement directly in units, manage thresholds, max-min values and an amplified output.
Conditioner: Amplifies the measurement signal and delivers a voltage or current (±5, ± 10 VDC, 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA).
Acquisition systems: Transmission of measurement signals to a PC, a programmable logic controller, a data logger or a SCADA-type supervision application. Post-processing of measurement data via Excel or Matlab.
