Overview
The GSV-2MSD-DI is an all-in-one acquisition module for one analog channel:
- Signal conditioning for 1 analog channel:
- Force, torque, or pressure sensor with strain gauge bridge
- Full or half strain gauge bridge with 120/350/1000 Ohm resistances
- Potentiometric displacement sensor
- Any amplified sensor - 0-10 V output
- Data logging on SD card
- 1 analog output -5/+5 V or via USB port

Data logging on SD card
Measurement data can be logged with timestamp on an SD card inserted in the GSV-2MSD-DI. Various operating modes are available: single value reading, continuous logging triggered via external trigger, peak value logging, etc. SD card logging is configurable up to 1 kHz. The output file in .txt format can be post-processed in Matlab or Excel.
Data logging on PC
Data acquisition is also available on the GSV-2MSD-DI via a serial interface (USB). Data is read using the visualization/acquisition software. The acquisition frequency is configurable up to 3750 Hz. The GSV-2MSD-DI module can be used with Matlab or Labview (drivers provided), the free GSVmulti software, or a utility programmed in C/C++ (DLLs available).
Mobile or stationary use
Thanks to its compact dimensions (35 x 171 x 110 mm), the GSV-2MSD-DI fits in any pocket. Sensor connection is made via a 15-pin pluggable Sub-D connector. The housing is IP65-rated. Up to 6 test configurations can be saved in the device, e.g., for sensor changes or quick definition of measurement conditions. The module can be powered by battery, via the USB port, or via an external 10-29 VDC power supply.
