Overview

The dynamic strain gauge for the ASG-3000 is a strain gauge to be installed in the pavement, designed for axial strain measurement under dynamic conditions. The ASG-3000 is ideal for dynamic stress measurement as well as pavement monitoring. The ASG-3000 integrates 4 strain gauges mounted in a full Wheatstone bridge, which compensate for temperature and wire resistance, and filter unwanted noise.

The ASG-3000 is robust and designed to withstand the high temperatures and significant compressive forces associated with asphalt laying. Each sensor is individually calibrated and supplied with a certificate of conformity.

Mounting and use

The strain gauge is mounted on a proof body to be positioned on or in the pavement.

The strain gauges are mounted in a full bridge. Conditioning modules are available as options, for a 0-10 VDC, 4-20 mA or digital output signal. Identification of the strain/stress relationship is done by calibration on the application. The operating temperature range is -34 to +200°C.
