Presentation - Installation

The KM115 load button is an extremely compact compression load cell (60 mm in height), designed to measure loads up to 200 kN with 0.5% accuracy. The KM115 strain gauge load cell is available in 3 measurement ranges (0-50 kN, 0-100 kN, and 0-200 kN), with a sensitivity of 1.0 mV/V.

The force is applied via the 32mm diameter load button with a flat surface and Radius R160, helping to reject some lateral forces. To ensure accurate measurement, the force must be centered, and no lateral force should be applied.

The KM115 sensor is made of stainless steel with an IP67 rating, and the operating temperature range is from -10°C to +85°C. A 5-meter, 4-wire cable is provided for sensor power (5VDC).

Signal Conditioning and Acquisition

For the conditioning of the KM115 sensor, two options are available:

Integrated conditioning (KM115e): The output signal is either 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA. The supply voltage is between 14 and 30 VDC. The tare function, autoscale, and threshold detection output are included.
